Dear young adults and leaders,

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall season!

Exciting news!...We plan to offer a virtual study of Pope John Paul II's

Man and Women He Created Them: A Theology of the Body in the new year, starting Monday, Jan 5th 2026 from 8-9:30pm (and it will run every other Monday).  Here's what the book looks like if you want to purchase it soon.

Fr. Mike Cassar and I will be your main speakers for this series.  

How this will go is that we will start the Zoom session with a 20-30 minute reflection/teaching on the audiences (reflecting on around 6 audiences every other week), then we will have small group time for about 20-30 minutes, either virtually in small groups or if you have an in-person group somewhere that will be watching the series together, you would be welcome to just mute and go into your own in-person small group in someone's home or at a church). Then the last 20-30 minutes we will return back to the large group (for those who want to do this part) for Q&A and further discussion on the topic at hand.  

We will be recording the first 20-30 minute teaching/reflection part.  So, if you have a group that meets in person a different day of the week besides Monday, you would be welcome to just watch the recording as a group and have your own small group discussion afterward.  You just wouldn't be able to participate in the larger group discussion at the end of the session.  

Lastly, I will be a host for a live small group in my home in Lansing as we record the session. So if any of you in/near the Lansing area would like to be in-person for the small group, please email me for more details.  If I hear of others who plan to host a small group in a different region, I will also let you know that as well, when we get closer to the start of the series.

SEEK Conference:  If you are a young adult who attends campus ministry and wants to go to the SEEK conference, make sure you connect with your campus ministry to see about help with a portion of the ticket cost.  If you are a young adult not in campus ministry who wants to go to the SEEK conference but could benefit from some scholarship help with part of the ticket cost, you are welcome to reach  out to me by email before the end of this month (when registrations will go up) and see if there are any more scholarships available for this conference. Please entitle it SEEK scholarships.  dhausmann@dioceseoflansing.org   

Christopher West is coming to OUR DIOCESE for a presentation at St John the Evangelist in Fenton on Nov 13th called The Well (see flyer below).  I would highly encourage you not to miss out on this event!  If you haven't experienced Christopher West share the teaching of the Theology of the Body, he is a blessed evangelist for this message and very gifted speaker.  I hope to see you there.
