Blessed New Year! We are half way through winter, hang in there!  Like the spiritual life, we must endure trials to get to resurrection glory!

Reminder to those of you who haven't yet checked out our new Platform for Young Adults please consider getting on there:

We, your young adult leaders around the diocese, have been populating a new platform for you called Mighty Network: Faithful Connections where you can see all the events happening in the Diocese of Lansing and in your local regions. 

1) Yes, you will have to register yourself with a login. 

2) We encourage you to download the app on your phone for easy access.

3) Feel free to join other regions, besides just your own, if you would like to see what's happening in neighboring regions that you may be interested in.

4) You can also add additional young adult events that aren't listed on there yet. Please keep it to young adult events and not just general parish events and no advertisements for things people are selling.  We want to keep the space focused on young adult faith & fellowship events. 

5) The great thing about this platform is that you will get no additional ads or distractions but just find events on a diocesan and local level for young adults.  

6) Please consider filling out your profile a bit with a picture of yourself so it is a friendly place where you can see real people, and connect with each other.

If you haven't heard of Our Lady of the Fields Camp & Retreat center, they are located in Brighton and are hosting various young adult events such as day-long retreats, adoration, and dancing.  The flyer above and below are from them.  For more info of these events, email Abby at: ourladyofthefieldscamp@gmail.com

Catholic Charities of Washtenaw are looking for twelve volunteers to attend each Matthew 25 meal. We have set tentative dates for three dinners: April 12, June 18, July 25.  This is an event where you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with individuals in our Re-Entry program. You will sit at table with returning citizens to share stories and participate in some group activities.

Totus Tuus Missionaries needed (two more college-age women)

Totus Tuus will be coming to the Diocese of Lansing to minister to the children and youth of several parishes this summer. Totus Tuus is a group of missionaries who are very much grounded in the Eucharist and the Blessed Mother. There will be sessions for children during the day and teens at night. The schedule is as follows... 

June 8 - June 13 - St. Joseph, Ypsilanti  

June 15 - June 20 - Most Holy Trinity, Fowler  

June 22 - June 27 - Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hudson 

June 29 - July 4 - July 4 Break 

July 6 - July 11 - Old Saint Patrick, Brighton  

July 13 - July 18 - St. Andrew, Saline  

July 20 - July 25 - St. Mary Magdalen, Brighton 

July 27 - Aug 1 - St. John the Evangelist, Jackson 

There is still room for a few female missionaries to help with these weeks of ministry. If you know any college-aged young women who might be interested, please share the attached flyer with them and/or share this link.  

This Pilgrimage above is our first Diocesan young adult pilgrimage to the only approved Marian apparition site in the U.S.  More details to come but application is open already!  One way to get ready for this pilgrimage would be to consider doing a Marian consecration 33 days leading up to the pilgrimage where you can finish your Marian consecration for the feast of the Visitation when we are going to be at the shrine.
