As Father Mathias Thelen explains in the video above, the Diocese of Lansing's Realign Resources for Mission committee invites you to join them on the evening of Sunday, August 29, 2021 when they will present to you the proposed drafts of parish groupings within the Diocese of Lansing. Your feedback is important to them and to Bishop Earl Boyea.
Meetings will take place between 6:30pm and 8:30 pm at the following locations:
• Father Gabriel Richard High School, Ann Arbor
• Powers Catholic High School, Flint
• Lumen Christi High School, Jackson
• Lansing Catholic High School, Lansing
There will also be a virtual option available on the Diocese of Lansing YouTube channel. The presentation will premiere on YouTube at 6.30pm. Then at 7.30pm a member of the Realign Resources for Mission committee will be live on YouTube to take your questions until 8.30pm.
Every participant, in-person and online, will have a survey available to give feedback. All are very welcome. Just RSVP to the link below.

Please pray for Sunday's RRM Regional Meeting, that each gathering will be fruitful as, together, we attempt to discern the will of God for our beloved diocese. Amen.
Guidelines for Friday Prayer:
Prayer: At three o’clock each Friday afternoon pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. To help with prayer, Eucharistic Adoration from Saint Mary Cathedral in Lansing will be live-streamed on YouTube and Facebook. If you can’t manage to pray at 3pm? Just say the Holy Rosary whenever you can.
Fasting: The present norms for fasting suggest that we eat no more than one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. It is also permissible to attempt a strict fast. A penitent’s age and health should always be taken into consideration before fasting.
Almsgiving: Giving alms is a “work of justice pleasing to God” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 2462). Hence, each Friday we should donate money or goods to the poor or perform another act of charity. Let’s not reach sundown on a Friday without having poured out some of the content of our heart or our wallet or both during the day.
